A 10-year-old was sexually perversed and later killed by his father’s friend in Shalimar Bagh, northwest Delhi. The accused took the child to the Bhalswa canal after luring him with the chocolates and committed this horrific act.
According to TOI reports, the accused strangled the boy when he cried for help.
- Aslam Khan, DCP of the northwest region confirmed that the accused (Manoj) has been arrested for murder under the POCSO Act. Manoj is a native of Madhubani district in Bihar who works as daily wage labourer.
- The incident took place when the boy’s parents were at work. Manoj approached the kid and lured him by promising to buy the chocolates. He then took him to a desolated area near Bhalswa canal. Soon he got drunk and sodomised the child. In the state to stop the boy from crying for help, he strangled him.
After failing to locate the child, the parents called the cops on Saturday night. The CCTV footage of the area was scanned where the cops saw the boy going with the man in a footage. Local informers confirmed the same as captured in the CCTV footage.
Apprehended around 3:30 AM in a drunken state, Manoj confessed to committing the crime. The cops recovered from Bhalswa canal and was taken to a nearby hospital where the sodomy was confirmed by the doctors.
