The National Zoological Park

National zoological park is among the most favorite spots among kids. Animal lovers also find this place very fascination where you get to see animals that you generally don’t see on daily basis. Inaugurated in 1959, National Zoological Park is situated near The Old Fort in Delhi. The zoo has almost all kind of animals from various species of cats to birds. Initially, it was referred as Delhi Zoo but in 1982 it was renamed as The National Zoological Park. At the Zoological Park, it is made sure that the birds and animals live in an environment that resemble their natural habitat. The zoo provides a home for endangered species and lets them breed in captivity. It is also working on the Conservation Breeding Programmes for Asiatic Lion, Royal Bengal Tiger, and lot more endangered animals with a hope that they may once again thrive in the wild.

The moment you enter The National Zoological Park, you would get to see many fascinating creatures and their life. Tourist gets to see various species of animals including Spider, chimpanzee, Royal Bengal Tiger, Brow Antlered Deer, and many more along with Zebras. In the other section of the zoo, migratory birds like peafowl and storks grace the ambiance with their soothing voices and presence. At the center there is an underground reptile house which is exclusively reserved for various kind of lizards and snakes. The Zoological Park is well maintained and is largely visited by tourists. It has canteens inside for the visitors and battery-operated vehicles at very reasonable prices which you could use if exhausted. But the real fun is in exploring the place on your feet.
