Trailer review: India’s PadMan

PadMan

The release day for Akshay Kumar’s new movie PadMan has been pushed forward to avoid clash with Padmavat. PadMan is a biopic of Arunachalam Muruganantham India’s real life “PadMan”. According to me, PadMan trailer review is all about, how he went against everyone and brought a revolution in the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by making a low-cost sanitary napkin machine.

The trailer begins by putting Arunachalam right up there with the superheroes of all times in Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. Next, we can see that, he created a kitschy onion-cutter so that his wife doesn’t have to get teary eyed while chopping them for their next meal. Isn’t that sweet?

But, Arunachalam character is not just limited to this. The conflicts arise when Akshay’s sister, wife and the entire village is shocked and surprised at his strange extra-curricular activity of making sanitary pads, who all feel ashamed to even discuss the sanitary health with their brother and husband respectively. Embarrassed by this, his wife leaves him and the people of his village shun him.

Now, it is time for the Supergirl to her entry in the scene in the form of a social worker. Here, Sonam Kapoor walks into the frame. She becomes the source of Akshay’s eventual success. She gives wings to Akshay’s thoughts and actions. PadMan’s cottage industry of producing low cost sanitary pads gets into motion. Soon, the embarrassment’s takes off, women buy his pads. This success makes IITians study him and his work.

This amazing story is the reason that we are here writing the review of the PadMan trailer.

From the trailer of PadMan, we don’t think there could have been anyone better than Akshay to play this role. We can clearly see that Akshay Kumar, the PadMan is doing full justice to the role. Also, one thing is clear that this movie is going to normalize the all-time discussion around mensuration hygiene.

The film is scheduled for release on February 9, 2018. But, PadMan trailer review is here. So, Pre-book your tickets for this wonderful comedy-drama today.
