The movie ‘Aiyaary’ has all the marking efforts of Neeraj Pandey but as complimenting as his previous and noted works, depicts the reviews of Aiyaary. The storyline has an honest and dutiful officer Manoj Bajpayee as Colonel Abhay Singh who leads covert operations with other few officers. Sidharth Malhotra’s as Jai Bakshi was brightest of the all, things go awry for him when he goes rogue. Abhay Singh must track him down while defending everything he believes in.
Neeraj Pandey’s movies are largely known for strong characters, and this one’s no different. Manoj Bajpayee has given another compelling turn as a resolute officer bounded by duties. Reviewing Aiyaary film I have felt that he is the backbone and leading part of the film and is believed as a man capable of going to great lengths to complete the task at hand showing his admiration towards duties.
Sidharth Malhotra is playing an officer role who becomes disillusioned by the system he has sworn to uphold. He brings a methodical, calm competition to his superiors because of his suitably convincing skills as a soldier. Moreover, Aiyaary reviews had witnessed that Rakul Preet Singh brings a lot of charm to her role and merely ends up being Jai’s love interest. But thankfully not much time in the movie is wasted on their romance part.
Anupam Kher is among the Neeraj Pandey favorites who acted as Tariq Ali in the movie but feels underutilized. Although Naseeruddin Shah’s Baburao is locked away for most of the film but he becomes relevant at a crucial point in the story, where the thespian more than makes up for his absence. Unfortunately, it comes a little late in the film.
‘Aiyaary’ has few lethargic and dull scenes that are long-drawn unnecessarily and don’t do much to develop the story or add to the characters. The plot of the story is quite complex and disturbed in a way says many reviews of Aiyaary. The audience expecting the clever and intriguing twists of Neeraj will be left wanting more in this movie.
Concluding the reviews of Aiyaary movie I would say it is not worth spending your bugs and time.
