Movie Review: The Controversial Padmavat

Padmavat

The movie “Padmavat” is basically an ode to Rajputana esteem and gallantry with multiple instances of character focusing on their values and morality. The film formerly known as “Padmavati” fits into the canon of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s style of direction. It’s a legend of Allaudin khilji’s obsession over the unattainable queen of Chittoor and her preference of death over dishonor.

Padmavat movie is an adaptation of 16th-century Sufi poet Malik Mohammad Jayasi’s legit work of art “PADMAVATI” and is a straightforward tale of ruthless man’s single-minded pursuit of the most beautiful women who existed.

Ranveer Singh evokes life into the character of barbaric power drunk Khilji. He plays the character with such grotesque flamboyance that shifting attention to any other character becomes difficult.

Giving us a villain for ages, Allaudin is the most enthralling character who is an astute, oversexed, inexorable and is an anomalous portrait of malice depicter by the actor.

Khilji finds loyal consort in Malik Ghafoor who indulges in his perverse activities and himself has a ruthless heart.

Padmavat

Character Ratan Singh played by Shahid Kapoor takes his bride after he falls prey to his enchanting beauty. Romance has been beautifully picturized between and Padmavati and Ratan Singh as the couple spend times besotted with each other and staring into each other’s eyes.

War scenes have been directed in a beguiling way. In the second half of the movie, Deepika Padukone’s character slides in the central position as she takes charge and shows the way to the rest of the story. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have done full justice to the characters and have done a commendable job.
