The students of Hindu college, Delhi University will be worshipping Jacqueline Fernandez as Damdami Mai and Ranveer Singh as Love Guru at the iconic Virgin Tree on February 14 I.e Valentine’s Day.
Every year, the hostel students of Hindu college shortlist a hot Bollywood actress. They then worship as the Damdami Mai next to the condom adorned Virgin Tree. The boys hold a common belief that those who take part in the ritual will find a partner in the following 6 months. Students do this Puja to increase their chances of scoring and finding a perfect date and, not remaining a virgin anymore. This year, a new introduction of Love Guru has been made to the Puja for the ‘hopeful’ women devotees attending the puja. He will be the male counterpart of the Damdami Mai.
The president of the Hindu college hostel, Lalit Kumar says, “Damdami Mai is decided by the hostel boys, whereas the Love Guru is selected by hostel girls this year.”
The reason of selecting Jacqueline Fernandez as Damdami Mai and Ranveer Singh as Love Guru is that they are the hottest and the most in-demand stars right now which makes them worthy of the status of Damdami Mai and Love Guru.
Like always, the puja will be performed on the morning of February 14 by Mr. Fresher of the year, as he will be the pandit for that day. As always, condoms will be used to decorate this iconic Virgin Tree followed by the rituals.
