The term ’party’ has come up since it was applied to all organized groups seeking political power, either by democratic elections or by revolution. Political parties enable people to participate in elections and other processes of government, educate and facilitate them to make policy choices. In our capital state there are various successful political parties in Delhi that every Delhiite should know about.

Top Political Parties in Delhi-

1) Bharatiya Janata Party: BJP is a pro-Hindu political party formed at the time of post-independence India. Bharatiya Janata party had enjoyed wide support among members of the higher castes mostly from northern India. The party has attempted to attract support from lower castes society as well when we talk about BJP, particularly through the appointment of several lower-caste members to prominent party positions.

2) Indian National Congress: India’s oldest political party, INC was founded on December 28 in 1885. Congress party is the oldest and best ruling party in free India. The party has led the central government for 49 years.
